Stand Up!

Watching the vile actions and comments, some even dangerous to members of the Congress, it is apparent that our Legislative leaders should denounce in the strongest terms these type of protests.  Now is not time for timid leadership. Debate and disagree, but it is getting out of hand, and if we are not careful, our form of democracy is in for some brutal times.  Please let your voices be heard for reason and responsibility, and against actions, of hopefully only a few, which if allowed to continue, may cause irreparable harm!

Health Care Passes!

Health care has passed the House, and I truly hope it accomplishes what its proponents say it will.  So many people need coverage and relief from medical expenses and deserve proper care.   However, as always, the process to do anything on behalf of the American people is a shambles.  Our members of Congress behave as if they were members of a 3rd grade class playing politics.  It is about time  they took a good hard look at their actions and words, and decide if politics in the extreme, is really in the best interest of our Country.  Some day, those which have gone over the edge, will have to answer for their actions, and some of their statements may in fact endanger their colleagues and others in government.  As someone once said, be careful for what you wish.  We are not stupid, and we see the political games being played, and they are found wanting in civility, intelligence, and perhaps most important, accomplishment.  For the sake of our Union, we must turn down the level of venomous discourse in our public life, or the day will come that it will rage out of control taking the good and bad alike.  Let us not look back in ten or fifteen years, and say these were the “good old days”, let’s make these the end of these days, and regain our civility in public discourse. Say a prayer for our Country, we need it!
